Val Geiger was a two-time All-American and All-Region selection as well as a three-time All-SCIAC selection as a middle blocker for the Chapman women’s volleyball team. Her 489 kills during her junior season are still the most in school history. She ranks second in career kills and third in career hitting percentage with her name continually appearing in the Chapman season and career record books. She helped the Panthers to two NCAA appearances and First Round wins in 2011 and 2012. She was named Chapman’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year for 2014-15. Geiger excelled in the classroom as well with three SCIAC All-Academic awards.
