Chapman's first-ever women's basketball All-America selection and first bonafide star on the hardcourt, Arterberry's place in Panther history is permanently etched. She earned All-America honors during her sophomore year in 1981-82 when she scored 623 and averaged 22.3 points in 28 games - both still school records. As a junior and senior she helped the Panthers to the NCAA playoffs, winning the West Region title in 1984 before losing to Central Missouri State in the national tournament. Arterberry still ranks third in Chapman history in points (1,465) and blocked shots (95) while placing second in rebounds (892). She still holds the Chapman record with 25 rebounds in a game vs. St. Mary's as a freshman in 1981.
