Maggie Wilder Werner was a dominant force in the circle, leading the Panthers NCAA Tournament appearances in all four years and pitching them to a Regional Championship twice. She earned a pair of All-American honors and three All-Region selections while leaving her name all over the Chapman record book. At the time of her induction, she was still in the top-5 (among several fellow Hall of Famers) with 47 career wins, 361 career strikeouts, 46 complete games, 18 shutouts and a 1.57 ERA.

After leading the Panthers into the NCAA Tournament as a senior, Wilder Werner opened the regional with a dominant outing and pitched all 14 innings of a 1-0 win over Trinity.
