When the football program was reinstated in 1994, Efriam Miranda quickly emerged as one of the program's early leaders. The 1995 All-America Honorable Mention defensive lineman established a single-season record that still stands today. Miranda had 27 total tackles for loss in 1995 – still a school record – and 13 sacks. He graduated with a career record of 32 tackles for loss, which ranks third in school history. He had 188 career tackles and 18 career sacks, which both still rank in the top-10.
