Chapman University

Mason set a high example for his teammates both on the basketball court and in the classrooms at Chapman, earning an NCAA post-graduate scholarship, awarded for outstanding achievement as a scholar-athlete. A four-year letterman from 1966-70, Mason served as team captain for the Runnin' Panthers as a senior in '69-70. He earned All-Tournament honors while at Chapman and he still ranks among the top-five in school history with 859 career rebounds.
