Chapman Athletics Hall of Fame (est. 1979)
A two-sport star, George played point guard for the Panthers for three seasons from 1978-81, setting single-season and career record for steals and assists. She was also a four-year letter winner and All-American on the Chapman softball team. In addition to her exciting and versatile defensive capabilities, she played every position on the diamond at least once, but primarily third base and outfield. In her sophomore year, George was named to the All-West Region team and to the All-Tournament team at the national championships. As a senior, she was named team MVP and earned All-Region and All-America honors as well.
