Lauren Kamiyama overcame multiple knee injuries to become a star point guard in her time at Chapman. She set the all-time assists and steals records at Chapman, which still stood as the most in program history at the time of her induction. She earned All-Region honors as a senior at a time when Chapman still competed as an Independent. She led the Panthers to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances while also setting school records for made three-pointers and steals in a single season, which have since been broken.

She cemented her place in Chapman women's basketball history wih a 34-point effort in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament to lead the Panthers to a comeback overtime win against La Verne.
