Chapman University

Martin played just two seasons for the Chapman basketball team from 1969-71, but was extremely impactful in that short time. As a junior, he was named NCAA College Division Player of the Week when he scored 45 points in a game against Cal Poly San Luis Obispo - just two points shy of Joe Cucinella's Chapman record. Martin went on to be named the Welch Trophy winner as Chapman's most valuable player in his junior year and was honored as Chapman's Athlete of the Year in his senior year.

Martin went onto a career as a high school teacher and coach and has been honored three times as the Orange County Coach of the Year (once for basketball, twice for golf) earning over 500 high school coaching victories.
