At Chapman University, we strike a true balance for the student-athlete, encouraging all students to blend academics and athletics into their personalized educations.

We offer a full menu of 23 intercollegiate sports, plus several club sports and a comprehensive intramurals program. Our teams compete in the NCAA's Division III, a group of schools dedicated to offering athletic opportunities as a complement to the academic experience of college. Like every Division III school, we do not offer athletic scholarships, but have generous aid programs based on academic achievement and financial need.

Chapman has had over 100 teams earn NCAA playoff berths since 1994 when it joined Division III, including 19 regional championships and three national championships in softball (1995) and baseball (2003, 2019). With state-of-the-art new facilities and coaches committing to the betterment of our student-athletes, Chapman University strives for excellence year in and year out.
