Chapman University

Perhaps better known as "Buzz" Hunter, the star basketball player enjoyed three years under legendary head coach Ralph Welch from 1939-42, earning Chapman's Most Valuable Player award all three seasons. The Panthers went 57-12 in those three seasons, including a 21-4 mark in '42. "Buzz" was also a gifted badminton player, ranking fifth nationally in 1942. He also served as the senior class president at Chapman.
