The ultra-tough Donovan was a two-time NFCA All-American for the Panthers’ national championship team in 1995 and national champion runner-up team in 1996, anchoring the heart of the order. Donovan still ranks among Chapman’s career top-10 in many offensive categories despite playing just two seasons for the Panthers, including batting average (.414), runs batted in (94), triples (14) and fielding percentage (.988).

A master at stopping the opponents running game, Donovan threw out over 50 percent of would-be basestealers (36 of 68). Meanwhile, the well-rounded clean-up batter also set a school record with a stolen base percentage of .846 in 1995.

Following her career at Chapman, she was drafted by the Orlando Wahoos of the Women’s Professional Fastpitch league in 1997 and played for one season.
