Chiang nets 100th career goal in loss

ORANGE, Calif. — Women's water polo suffered a tough loss to La Verne, 11-10, after scoring six unanswered goals on Saturday, March 25 at Allred Aquatics Center. 

Camille Chiang netted her 100th career goal on a five-meter penalty to tie the game at seven in the third quarter.

Before that, however, La Verne took a commanding 7-4 lead heading into halftime. The Panthers came out and scored five goals in the third, two from Chiang to lead the way, and took a 10-7 lead. 

La Verne answered with a 4-0 run of its own to close out the game.

The Panthers, now 7-14 overall and 2-4 in SCIAC play, return to Allred to play Cal St. East Bay on March 30 at 6 p.m.
