CLAREMONT, Calif. — The Chapman University women's water polo team wrapped up their 2026 season Thursday evening falling in the SCIAC semi-finals to Pomona-Pitzer 18-8. Chapman made it to the semi-finals for the second straight season.

Zoey Francis had 10 saves on the night. Senior
Ruthie Lax had a career-high four goals on four shots and an assist to have one of the best games of her career..
Mia Harrison,
Annie Nadolski,
Lyric Roddenberry and
Kate Launius also all netted goals.
Chapman wrapped up the season finishing 13-12 overall and 8-4 in SCIAC play. The Panthers hosted a SCIAC home game, and saw Francis along with junior
Kendall Pappan etch their names into the history books. Pappan tied to lead the conference in scoring with 64 goals at the end of the regular season. Francis set the single game SCIAC tournament record with 19 saves in the first round win against Whittier. Francis also led the SCIAC in saves in 2026 and was named to the All-SCIAC team for the second straight season.
Chapman will return action again in February 2027.
