ORANGE, Calif. - The Chapman University Panthers fell 3-1 to the University of Redlands on Wed., Sep. 1 to kick off the 2021 season and home schedule. Senior forward Aidan Wall was the lone goal scorer for the Panthers. 

Steve Acuna put the Bulldogs on the board first 6:30 into the match to take a 1-0 lead over Chapman. The score went unchanged for the remainder of the 1st half. 

Wall scored the lone goal for the Panthers under three minutes into the second half to draw even. Arian Mogharei put the Bulldogs on top 17 minutes into the second to obtain a lead that Redlands held for the remainder of the game. 

Quinn Richards snuck in the final goal with less than two minutes left on the clock to finalize a 3-1 victory. The Panthers lost despite leading the Bulldogs in possession time at 57%. 

The Panthers will face Westcliff on Sat., Sep. 4 on Wilson Field at 4 p.m.
