Quincy caps off senior night with five goals

ORANGE, Calif. –Senior Alison Quincy headlined the Panther offense on Chapman University women's water polo Senior Night scoring five goals in the Panthers 15-10 loss to Whittier College at Allred Pool on Wednesday.

The Poets took an early 6-4 lead against Chapman and continued to out-score the Panthers from there. Whittier scored a pair of goals in the second, four in the third and three in the fourth to preserve their uncontested SCIAC run heading into the SCIAC Championships.

Quincy scored a goal in each quarter, beginning the game with a hat trick in the first eight minutes of play. Senior Kate Staskus capped off the senior night with a pair of back-to-back goals in the fourth quarter and an assist.

The other Panther goals came from junior Emily Fong, senior Kate Avery and junior Grace Schade who each found the net during a six-on-five offense.  

Chapman wraps up the regular season on the road Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at Caltech. The Panthers will then travel to Redlands, Calif. for the SCIAC Championships beginning on Friday, April 22.
