Women's lacrosse earns individual and team academic honors from IWLCA

Six student-athletes earned mention in the Academic Honor Roll with the team also earning recognition.

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's lacrosse program earned team and individual recognition for academic achievement from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Chapman exceeded the team GPA standard and had six student-athletes honored for academic success.

The IWLCA annually honors collegiate programs with a 3.2 team GPA or higher as Academic Honor Squads. This year, 357 teams from all levels of college lacrosse earned the award. Student-athletes are also recognized on the Academic Honor Roll. Juniors, seniors and graduate students can earn the honor with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Chapman student-athletes to earn the award are: Arianna Covarrubias, Georgia Geagan, Olivia Holmes, Ava Regan, Tade Scheid and Ilana Touger.

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) is a membership-led, professional association representing the nation's intercollegiate women's lacrosse coaches within Division I, II & III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
