Box Score ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman University women's water polo wrapped up their regular season home schedule Wednesday evening against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Senior star goalie
Zoey Francis tallied 14 saves to keep Chapman in the game throughout the first half. Despite best efforts, Chapman ended up falling 15-6.
Sophomore break out player
Annie Nadolski added another three crucial goals, while fellow sophomore attacker
Nina Bastick added another two goals. At the end of the first half, Chapman was within two, down 6-4. Francis had back-to-back monster saves on five meter penalties late in the second quarter to help Chapman stay in the game.
In the second half, Francis continued the dominance in goal, leaping out of the water to stop multiple goals one-on-one, stopping shots that looked virtually out of reach for the average viewer, and keeping the Panthers within striking distance.
Chapman will look to get back on track, as they wrap up their season on the road at Whittier on Saturday, April 4 and at Redlands on Saturday, April 11. Chapman will also look to secure the four spot in the SCIAC Tournament during these last two games.
