ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman women's water polo finished out hosting the Claremont Convergence at home Saturday evening. The Panthers dominated defeating Carthage in the first game 21-12 then kept the game close and competitive in the evening before falling to Mount St. Mary's 13-10.

Game One vs. Carthage:

The Panthers simply dominated against Carthage. Nina Bastick, Annika Lindberg and Kendall Nelson all scored three goals each. Emily Watanaponse and Maile Imonem had another two goals each. Overall, Chapman had 12 different athletes score the 21 goals. Meanwhile, they kept Carthage to just 12 on the day.

Game Two vs. Mount St. Mary's:

In their fourth and final game over just two days, Chapman narrowly fell to The Mount. Kendall Pappan led the way with three goals, three assists, six earned ejections and one steal to get the Panthers back in the game. Junior transfer Lyric Roddenberry also contributed another three goals and two assists.

Goalkeeper Zoey Francis poured on 19 saves to go along with two steals. The 19 saves is a new season-high for Francis, trailing only behind her career-high of 23 saves which she set in 2025. That total is also the single game program record for most saves. Francis kept Chapman in the hunt in the fourth quarter, after the Panthers fell behind 11-5 in the third. They ended up outscoring The Mount 5-2 in the final quarter of play.

Chapman now sits at 6-7 overall, 3-0 in SCIAC play. They will gear up to host Cal Lutheran on Wednesday, Mar. 11 at the Allred Aquatic Center.
