ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman women's water polo defeated SCIAC opponent Caltech 14-9 at home Saturday morning to win their second consecutive game in just over 12 hours.
Freshman goalie
Jamie Chiem played three quarters of the game and had a new career-high eight saves to lead Chapman defensively. Sophomore
Annie Nadolski poured on another three goals and a steal, after netting another three goals Friday evening.
Kimie Ginoza,
Lyric Roddenberry and
Kate Launius all contributed another two goals each. As a team, the Panthers had 11 steals and kept Caltech to just four goals in the first half.
Chapman now improves to 9-9 overall and 5-2 in SCIAC play. As they approach the back half of conference play, the Panthers currently sit in fourth overall, slated to make the conference tournament in April. Chapman will look to maintain the winning momentum as they gear up to play at Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday, March 25.
