ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman women's water polo had three athletes earn ACWPC All-American honors for the 2025 season.
Kendall Pappan,
Zoey Francis and
Alyssa Fricker all earned spots o the First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention lists.
Fricker was named to the All-American First Team after leading the nation in scoring across all three NCAA levels. The three-time First-Team All-SCIAC member finished out her career either leading or near the top of Chapman water polo program in major statistical categories. That includes leading in most goals in program history (288), second most goals in a single season (125) and tying the program high for goals in a game with 10. 2025 marks Fricker's fourth and final year on the All-American team.
Pappan was named to the Second Team after earning All-SCIAC Second Team honors and ranking second on the team in scoring. Pappan was also named the Chapman Athletics Sophomore Women's Sports Student Athlete of the Year. She finished top three in the SCIAC in scoring with 67 goals on the season and and second in the conference with 46 assists. The sophomore star earned All-American Honorable Mention in 2024.
Francis was named to All-American Honorable Mention. The junior led the SCIAC in total saves with just shy of 270. She also set a new program record with 23 saves in a conference game against Occidental on Mar. 19. The goalkeeper also ranked second in program history for blocks in a single season. In her first year playing at Chapman, Francis was also named to the All-SCIAC Second Team.
The team finished ranked third in the SCIAC with a record of 12-13 (8-4 SCIAC) before falling to Claremont-Mudd- Scripps in the conference semi-final game.
