Women's water polo season ends in SCIAC semifinals

Box Score CLAREMONT, Calif. —Chapman women's water polo finished out the 2025 season falling in the SCIAC semifinals on the road at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) 20-6 Thursday evening. 

Senior Riley Eaves led the way with two goals while Kendall Pappan, Nicole Inoue, Annie Nadolski and Annika Liou all netted goals for the Panthers. At the end of the first period, Chapman trailed by just one goal 4-3. 

From then on, CMS dominated in the second quarter scoring six consecutive goals. The Panthers fired back, as Nadolski scored a ball off a rebound with one minute to play unitl half. 

Goalkeeper Zoey Francis finished the game with five saves in three periods, closing out one of the most dominant seasons by a Chapman keeper in program history. The junior transfer finished with 274 saves in the 2025 season, good for most in the SCIAC and second most in program history. The Second Team All-SCIAC selection leads second place by more than 30 goals. 

Pappan finished the season second on the team in scoring and top three in the conference in sprint wins with 30 total. The fellow Second Team All-Confernece selection looks to be a focal point in the 2026 season for the Panthers. 

Chapman finished out the 2025 season 12-12, 8-4 SCIAC tying their third place finish in 2024.
