ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's water polo team finished the 2024-25 academic year as one of the top ranked academic teams in the nation. With 25 of its 26 student-athletes also earning individual recognition, the Chapman women's water polo team ranked fifth in the nation in GPA.
With a 3.72 cumulative team GPA, the Panthers ranked fifth among women's water polo teams from all three divisions of the NCAA and was the highest ranked team in the SCIAC.
The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches released its annual All-Academic list with Chapman nearing the top of the extensive list of honored teams with a 3.0 team GPA or better. The ACWPC also recognizes individuals in three different categories of academic achievement. Chapman had 24 of its student-athletes in the top-2 categories to cap off a remarkable academic year in 2024-25.
