ORANGE, Calif.— Chapman (1-2) Lacrosse earned their first victory of the 2025 season with a dominant 17-2 win at home against Albion (1-3). Led by six goals behind freshman
Ella Seidel, the Panthers held Albion scoreless the last 42 minutes of the 60 minute game. The Panthers were a perfect 13/13 on clears while Albion was 11/26 on clears.
Eight different Panthers scored on the day including Seidel,
Lyndsey Huss (3),
Madi Escobar (2),
Ada Carr (2),
Brooklyn Price (1),
Annika Carlson (1),
Olivia Holmes (1) and
Tade Scheid (1). On the defensive end, freshman goalkeeper
Madelyn Kuhnlein had seven saves on just nine shot attempts. Chapman also earned 23 ground balls while Albion had just 14 total.
At halftime, the Panthers also took the field with representatives from LaCROSSe Out Cancer where they gifted the organization a check for just under $3,000. The money the team has raised will go directly towards pediatric cancer research and awareness.
Chapman will look to continue their momentum against Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday, Mar. 12 at home at 7:00 p.m. PT.
