Jake Heberle was selected to the All-SCIAC First Team for the 2024-25 Chapman Men's Basketball season. Heberle was the lone member selected to represent the Men's Basketball team. This was his third selection to the All-SCIAC team and second year in a row landing on the first team.
The junior surpassed 1,000 career points in January against Redlands. During SCIAC play, the 6-4 guard averaged 18.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Heberle ranked sixth in scoring, top 13 in rebounds and top 25 in assists in the conference.
He led the Panthers in scoring for the season and recorded a career-high 26 points against Whittier in February 2025. As a playmaker, Heberle was oftentimes the go-to person when the Panthers needed a clutch shot. He finished his junior campaign shooting 90 percent from the free throw line and 43 percent from the field.
The Panthers concluded their season on February 22 against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. They will look to begin build towards the 2025-26 season with Heberle returning for his senior season, primed to have a breakout year.
