SPOKANE, Wash. – Jesse McMillan shattered his own school record to lead the Chapman University track & field team at the Whitworth Indoor Invitational. McMillan also likely secured a spot at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

For the first time in his career, McMillan cleared five meters in the pole vault for the third best mark in Division III this year. At a meet with Division I and II teams, McMillan came in third in the competition as he cleared 5.05 meters (16-feet, 6.75-inches).

Annika Carlson was the Panthers' only event winner of the meet as she ran a personal-best time of 10:09.41 in the 3,000 meter race. She came in just half of a second in front of the next runner and less than a second than the third-place finisher in a tight race.

Mason Fara ran a 47.91 in the 400m dash and currently ranks eighth in Division III with just a couple of week left in the season. He place fourth in the 400 and fifth in the 200. He ran a 21.65 in the 200m

Sara Charles placed fifth in the women's 400m dash with a 58.61 and the women's 4x400m relay took second with a 3:56.53. The relay team of Kaylee Smith, Makenna Lizarde, Proud Kitnitchiva and Allie Kremer rank 38th in Division III.
