Aleena Helms from softball and
Phillip Zhang for track & field have been named the SCIAC Athletes of the Week.
Helms was named the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week after having 10 RBI over six games, and led Chapman to a 4-2 record over the three days. Helms also hit the run that caused Chapman to go into extra innings against University of Chicago. The Panthers ended up going on to win that game.
Zhang competed at the Rossi Relays where he finished first among the SCIAC participants in the 100 meter sprint going 11.11, a new personal record. He finished the race overall just outside the top 25. In the 4x100 relay, Zhang anchored the race going a 42.51. In the sprint medley relay, his team went a 1:40.45.
