                     Claremont, Calif. — Chapman Cross Country competed at the 2025 SCIAC Championships at Pomona-Pitzer, with 
Brenda Daza finishing well within the top 10. The women's team finished in fourth place, their highest finish in over five years in the 6k Championships. The men's team finished in seventh in the 8k Championships. 
Daza led the way for both teams, finishing the 6k in seventh place, going 21:55 or a 5:54 pace per mile. 
Natalie Brazfield finished second among the women's team, finishing just outside the top 30 finishing in 23:55. On the men's side, junior 
Gavin White led the way finishing in the top 25 of the 8k. White finished in 26:30 while teammates Yishai Rodriguez and 
Lucas Turano and finished 37th and 38th. Rodriguez ran a 26:59 while Turano ran a 27 flat. 
"I am so proud of our Panthers, and how composed they raced," Cross country coach 
Mircea Bogdan said. "They truly gave their very best against programs with more depth than us. We are excited to finish our season on the highest note."
Claremont-Mudd Scripps came away with the title on the women's side while Pomona-Pitzer won SCIACs on the men's side. Both schools also had members from their teams win the individual crown. Chapman will now gear up for NCAA Division III West Regionals happening on Nov. 15 in the same place as SCIACs.
