Brenda Daza led cross country at 2025 NCAA Division III Regionals placing in the top 10 with a time of 22:24 in the 6k. Daza led the women's team to a top 15 finish. With her finish, Daza qualifies for NCAA Division III Nationals in Spartenburg, SC at Converse College on Nov. 22. Finishing behind Daza was
Natalie Brazfield who finished just inside the top 80 running the 6k in a time of 24:33. \
"Brenda once again ran a stellar race," Cross Country and Track & Field assistant coach
Mircea Bogdan said. "Top ten in this region is remarkable. She gets to finish the year at nationals next week and she deserves to be there."
On the men's side, the Panthers finished in 16th led by senior
Lucas Turano who finished just outside the top 65 and ran the 8k in a time of 26:53. Behind Turano,
Gavin White finished just outside the top 80 in a time of 27:16.
"The guys ran a gutsy race in very challenging weather conditions and on one of the toughest courses I have seen in a while," Bogdan added of the men's side. "They gave their best and I was proud of the efforts.
Lucas Turano ended his cross career on a high. All of our seniors stepped up to the plate and that's great to see.
Daza, just a junior, will wrap up Chapman's season in one week in Spartenburg at Nationals to conclude her breakout season.
