ORANGE, Calif. — Cross Country junior star Brenda Daza has qualified for NCAA Division III National Championships in Spartenburg, SC. Daza finished top 10 at NCAA West Regionals on Saturday morning in the pouring rain. Daza ran the 6k in a time of 22:24 which led the women's team to a top 15 finish overall on Saturday. 

Daza is also the school record holder in the 6k, breaking former three sport star athlete Annika Carlson who graduated from Chapman in 2025. Daza joins an elite list of program alumni who have also competed at the elite meet. Carlson, Arabella Reece, Maddie Mirro and Chris Reid are the only runners from the Division III era who have made it to Nationals. 

NCAAs will be taking place on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 11 AM ET. Live streams and live meet results will be posted on NCAA.com.
