GREENSORO, N.C. –
Reid Omilian began his second career trip to the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships with another All-American award. Omilian opened his NCAA trip on the 3-meter board.
Chapman's sophomore diver took 14th overall to grab the second All-America Second Team honor of his career. He battled his way up to the consolation final after finding himself outside the top-16 at the halfway point of the competition.
He finished the preliminary 11 dives in 14th and held tight to that place in finals, finishing with a 425.65.
Kiana Tanizaki-Hudson also participated in the 200 IM to open up her national meet experience. With her best events yet to come in the following days, Tanizaki-Hudson swam a 2:11.88.
Tanizaki-Hudson is the only Chapman Panther in the pool tomorrow as she competes in the 100 fly. Her top 2024 time of 55.31 ranks 14th in Division III heading into the event. Omilian is back on the 1-meter board on Friday.
