ORANGE, Calif. – For the third time in his career, Reid Omilian is off to compete at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. Omilian qualified after a fourth-place finish on the 1-meter board in Saturday's Regional competition.
Omilian came away with a score of 455.15 to take fourth and punch his ticket for Indianapolis for the national championship meet. It will be his third trip to nationals in his four years.
Aidan Trautwein and Jake Randazzo also made the trip to Regionals for the Panthers. Trautwein finished ninth on both boards, just missing his chance to compete at the national championships. He scored a 427.20 on the 1-meter and a 412.95 on the 3.-meter.
Trautwein led off a consecutive finish for the Panthers on the 3-meter board. Randazzo came in 10th and Omilian in 11th on the 3-meter. Randazzo also came in 11th on the 1-meter to finish off his career.
The men's 3-meter competition at the national championships takes place on Wednesday, March 18 and the 1-meter competition takes place on Friday, March 20.
