MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – Day three of the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships saw three more podium finishes for the Chapman University swim & dive teams. McKenzie Abbott,
Cole Kershner and the Low Tops 400 medley relay reached the podium to highlight the day.
Both the High Tops and Low Tops head into the final day of the championship meet in third place by a slim margin. The High Tops passed Occidental for third place in the team standings and hold a five point lead over the Tigers but sit behind Pomona-Pitzer and CMS. The Low Tops saw their lead on Caltech dwindle but still lead the Beavers by eight points for third place but trail CMS and Pomona-Pitzer.
Abbott because the first High Top to reach the podium in an individual event in 2024 as she placed third on the 3-meter diving board with a 419.80. Her third place finish put a Panther on the podium in three of the four diving events.
Kershner earned his second individual and fourth overall All-SCIAC finish when he took second in the 100 fly with another school record. His 48.88 beat the school record time he posted this morning and put him back up on the podium. Trent Calloway finished fourth in the event as well.

Riley Coleman,
George Sholton,
Cole Kershner and Trent Calloway took third place for an All-SCIAC finish to finish the day with a time of 3:21.17. The High Tops relay took fourth overall.
