Annika Carlson ran the final cross country race of her decorated collegiate career, becoming the first Panther to compete in multiple NCAA Division III Championships. An injury in final kilometer dropped her finish out of All-American contention.
Through the first five kilometers, Carlson was on track to finish with her second All-American honor. She was in 38th at the five kilometer checkpoint but came up injured in the final kilometer. She was able to walk across the finish line and complete all six kilometers but fell back in the field..
The cross country season comes to a close but Carlson's career continues as she will compete in lacrosse and track & field through the rest of the school year.
