ORANGE, Calif. – Head coach
Evan Parry has announced the new additions to the Chapman University men's tennis team for the 2026-27 school year. Chapman will welcome Charlie May, Gespard Lemaitre, Zachary Whittington and Sarosh Rustomjee in the fall.
May will be a freshman in the fall, joining the Panthers from Colorado and plans to major in Political Science. He is a 3-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 2 player in the state. He has won a state doubles title for the Colorado Academy and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state tournament in singles as a senior.
Lemaitre is an international student and joining the Panthers for his freshman year and majoring in Business Administration. He is originally from New Zealand but has attended the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in France.
Whittington is transferring to Chapman from Fairfield University. He is originally from Plano, Texas and will major in Business Administration. He played for two year at Fairfield – an NCAA Division I institution in Fairfield, Conn. He went 12-10 in singles over two seasons, appearing in the dual lineup in both singles and doubles during his time at Fairfield.
Rustomjee transfers to Chapman after a year at Niagra University. He spent the majority of the season in the singles lineup for the Purple Eagles. He is originally from Durban, South Africa and also attended Concordia University Irvine.
The four newest Panthers comprise Parry's first recruiting class since taking over the program in the summer of 2025. He guided the Panthers to an 8-11 overall record in 2026.
