ORANGE, Calif. — The Chapman University track & field program has seven athletes who have qualified for the NCAA Division III outdoor track and field championships. In sprinting, the men's 4x400 relay consisting of Mason Fara, Wyn Smoole, Alex Vasquez and Charley McCarthy has qualified. Individually, Fara has also qualified in the 400 meter sprint. Rounding out the group, pole vaulter Thatch Balady has qualified after vaulting 5.01 meters at the APU Last Chance meet. 

Fara qualified in the 400 meter sprint after running 47.01. The 4x400 qualified with a mark of 3:10.91. NCAA Division III Championships take place from May 21-23 in La Crosse, Wisc. Full competition schedules can be found on the NCA A Website.
