CLAREMONT, Calif. – Two school records fell as the Chapman University track & field teams competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational. Eva Ndoye was again one of the record-breakers along with Lucas Turano.

Ndoye reached a new benchmark for the women's program, becoming the first Panther to throw the javelin 40 meters. Her second throw traveled 40.92 meters (134-feet, 3-inches) – more than three meters beyond the record she set for the event earlier this season. Her throw was the second-longest in the SCIAC this season and placed her second in the event.

Turano broke his own school record in the 1500m that he set almost exactly one year ago. Turano clocked a 3:54.35 to take seventh in the event. He was two seconds than the record he set in 2025.

Mason Fara ran a season-best 47.01 to take second place in the 400. His time is the fastest in the SCIAC this season. Derek Amlicke also placed second in the pole vault, clearing 4.75 meters.

Ndoye also placed third in the shot put with a mark of 11.65 meters (38-feet, 2.75-inches). Makenna Lizarde's 12.18 in the 100m dash placed her eighth and Sarah Charles place seventh in the 400 with a 57.05. Lindsey Gray took sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.24 meters.

The Panthers compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational next week before heading to the SCIAC Championships May 2-3.
