ORANGE, Calif. — Makenna Lizarde from Chapman track and field and Ada Carr from Chapman lacrosse have been named the SCIAC Athletes of the Week. Lizarde was named Track Athlete of the Week, while Carr was named the Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. 

At the Redlands Invitational, Lizarde made history with a 12.01 in the 100m dash to earn the school record. She placed third in the event and ran the second fastest 100 in the SCIAC this season. Lizarde also placed eighth in the 200m.

In two games this past week, Carr led the Panthers to a 2-0 record with wins over Edgewood and Whitworth. Against Edgewood, the Panthers won 17-0, and Carr had three goals and one assist. Against Whitworth, Chapman won 19-8, and Carr had another four goals and an assist.
