ORANGE, Calif. — Rose Malen from Chapman softball and Sofiya Khegay from Chapman Women's Tennis have been named the SCIAC Athlete of the Week.

Khegay led women's tennis to a 2-0 record over the weekend defeating Arizona Christian and Lewis & Clark at home 5-2 in both games. Khegay won her singles match against ACU 6-0 and 6-1. She helped win her doubles match 6-4. Against Lewis & Clark, Khegay won 6-3 in her doubles match and 6-1 and 6-0 in singles. She went undefeated against the two programs. 

Rose Malen led the softball team to two wins over the weekend clinching the first series of the season in conference play against Cal Lutheran. Malen gave up zero runs, just six hits in those two games and helped mercy rule Cal Lutheran in the first game 8-0 in the sixth inning. Malen also helped lead Chapman to a 2-0 win on Saturday over the Regals.
