COSTA MESA, Calif. – Nika Gholami finished under par to wrap up the fall season as the Chapman University women's golf team defeated Soka at the Chapman Challenge. Gholami was one stroke off the school record for lowest round.
Gholami's 70 (-2) made her just the third Chapman women's golfer to shoot a 70 or lower in a single round. The lowest round of her career was six strokes better than the rest of the field.
With Gholami leading the way, the Panthers also put together the seventh-lowest team round in program history with a 15-over par 303. Newcomers Emma Otterburn and Annette Parker finished their fall seasons with solid rounds as Otterburn was four-over and Parker was six-over.
Lauren Lee rounded out the team scoring at seven-over par although the eight Panthers competing finished 1 through 8 on the individual leaderboard.
The Panthers fall schedule comes to an end with the Panthers returning in the spring for their championship soring season.
