ORANGE, Calif. – The strong start to the SCIAC season continued for the Chapman University men's soccer team with Cormac Galvin earning SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.
Galvin solidified Chapman's back line in a 1-0-1 week that kept Chapman unbeaten in SCIAC play. His play was essential in earning the scoreless draw with Whittier on Saturday – making Chapman the first team to shutout the Poets this season.
He also helped Chapman to a 2-1 road win at Cal Lutheran in which the Panthers limited the Kingsmen to just five shots.
Chapman plays its next two games on the road, starting at CMS on Wednesday night.
