ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's soccer team played unbeaten Whittier to a 0-0 draw to stay unbeaten in SCIAC play. Alex Glynn made six saves as Chapman became the first team this season to keep Whittier off the scoreboard.
Whittier held a slight 12-9 advantage in shots taken but Chapman earned four corners to Whittier's two. The Poets generated a pair of opportunities in the second half but sent one over the bar and another wide left.
Glynn's six saves matched his season-high as Chapman posted its second shutout of the season to move to 3-0-1 in in the SCIAC.
The Panthers face another SCIAC test on Wednesday at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps for the first of back-to-back road matches.
