ORANGE, Calif. – Caleb Wilkins earned his fifth career All-SCIAC First Team honor and Aram Izmirian joined him on the Second Team to represent the Chapman University men's tennis team. Wilkins is the only student-athlete in Chapman history to earn five All-SCIAC First Team honors.
Wilkins is ranked 20th nationally and fourth in the region as he looks to make his third consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Singles Championship in a few weeks. He went 3-3 at the top of the Chapman singles lineup this year. He also went 5-2 with Ben Jorgenson at the top of the doubles lineup for the SCIAC season.
Overall, Wilkins went 11-5 in singles and 10-7 in doubles.
Izmirian earned his first career All-SCIAC honor with the Second Team nod. He went 2-2 during the SCIAC season before missing the last three matches of the season. He went 2-1 in the second spot in the lineup and narrowly lost in three sets in his one match at the No. 1 spot against Caltech. He also went 3-1 in doubles matches during the SCIAC season with three different partners.
The Panthers finished in sixth in the SCIAC standings and went 4-13 overall. Wilkins will await the national championship announcement to be made next week.
