Box Score ORANGE, Calif. – A tight battle went to the visitors as the Chapman University women's tennis team fell 4-3 to Redlands in a SCIAC matchup. The match came down to a pair of three-set battles.
With the Panthers trailing 3-2, the singles matches at No. 3 and No. 6 went to a third set. Freshman Lucy Wallin was able to capture the 6-4 win in the third set of the No. 6 match. Brooke Waite traded the first two sets on the No. 3 court but ultimately fell 6-4 in the third set as Redlands clinched the team victory.
Lucy Erikson also won her singles match while the Panthers captured the doubles point with wins from Waite and Erickson at No. 3 and Malina Dams and Sydney La at No.1.
The Panthers are back home on Friday to take on Caltech at 2 p.m.
