GRINNELL, Iowa – Four Chapman divers competed at the NCAA Division III Region 2 Championships in Grinnell, Iowa. Reid Omilian's sixth-place finish on the 1-meter board led the Panthers at the Regional meet.
Omilian worked his way back from an injury that kept him out of the SCIAC Championships to compete at regionals and lead the Panthers. He placed sixth on the 1-meter board with a 461.10 and Jake Randazzo took ninth with a 439.85. On the 3-meter board, Randazzo took 10th and Omilian finished 11th.
McKenzie Abbott finished up her Chapman career at regionals, placing 15th on the 1-meter and 19th on the 3-meter. Gracie-Anne Fraunfelder also finished up her Chapman career, taking 20th on the 3-meter board and 22nd on the 1-meter board.
Omilian narrowly missed qualifying for nationals with his sixth-place finish but Kiana Tanizaki-Hudson will represent the Panthers at the NCAA Division III Championships on March 18-21.
