ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman Volleyball's Lia Ono and Football's Jacob Gaudi have been named the SCIAC Defensive Player of the Week for their respective sports. 

Ono recorded 30 digs against Whittier College in a win that went five sets to go along with an ace and five assists. Then, she recorded another 17 digs in a four set match on Saturday against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Gaudi recorded his first interception of the season to help secure a massive conference victory over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday. He recorded an additional six tackles and stopped extra yardage in a massive way to help Chapman secure the victory. The Panthers are the top ranked team in the SCIAC as they are set to host the conference championship game on Nov. 15 at 1 PM.
