ORANGE, Calif.— Cross Country's Brenda Daza, football quarterback Tyler Pacheco and Women's soccer goalie Bella Barretto were all named SCIAC Athlete of the Week. 

Daza was named Athlete of the Week after demolishing the school record in the 6k at the Highlander Classic. Daza competed in the Invite Division against majority Division I athletes. She placed in the top 15 and was second among non-Division I athletes. She clocked a 21:56.1 in the 6k, the first time in program history a runner has gone sub-22 in the event on the women's side. Daza set a new personal best by over 40 seconds and broke the school record by more than 15 seconds. 

Pacheco was named Offensive SCIAC Athlete of the Week after leading Chapman to a 35-25 shootout win over Cal Lutheran. The Panthers are now the only undefeated team remaining and ranked as the top team in the conference. Pacheco threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns along with 78 yards rushing in Saturday's win over the only other unbeaten team in SCIAC play. 

Barretto was named Defensive SCIAC Athlete of the Week after leading women's soccer to a 2-0 record with wins over Redlands 2-0 and Occidental 1-0. Barretto played 180 minutes and recorded shut outs in both games.
