ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman football senior linebacker Tate Zimmerman was named the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week. 

Just one week after his brother Kade was named Offensive Player of the Week, T. Zimmerman led the Panthers to a 17-10 conference victory over Pomona-Pitzer. The Panthers are now 3-2 overall and 3-0 in SCIAC play. T. Zimmerman led the way defensively with 10 total tackles, two sacks and one broken up pass. 

The Panthers are in first place in the Surf Division of the SCIAC and tied for first in the conference with Cal Lutheran. The Kingsmen and Panthers will poetically face-off on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Cal Lutheran.
