ORANGE, Calif. – A career day for Fischer Huss has led to SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors. Huss nearly doubled his career rushing totals in the 56-6 win over La Verne.
He needed just seven carries to run for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Before Saturday, Huss had 125 rushing yards and two touchdowns in his career. He ran for a 44-yard touchdown just before halftime and an eight-yard TD early in the second.
The weekly award is the first for the Panthers this year as they picked up their first win of the season in the SCIAC opener. Chapman ran for 348 yards as a team, averaging seven yards per carry in the SCIAC victory.
