INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Chapman Track & Field will send 10 athletes to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from May 23-25.
Jesse McMillan and the women's 4x100 m relay team are the only returners from 2023. For McMillan, this is his fourth NCAA Championship appearance as a Panther. He clinched on May 16, clearing the pole vault at 4.9 meters.Â
The women's 4x100 relay team – Allie Kremer, Kaylee Smith, Khyra Stiner, and Ari Raphael – sit at 12th in the nation. Their top time is 46.75.
Another relay team notches a spot; the women's 4x400 makes their Championships debut. The combination of Kremer, Smith, Proud Kitnitchiva, and Sarah Charles ranks 11th in Division III. They recently broke a 34-year-old SCIAC record at the APU Last Chance meet on May 9, running a 3:47.46.
Mason Fara qualifies for the first time in his career. His 46.93 mark in the 400-meter dash ranks seventh in Division III – he sits in position to garner First Team All-America honors.Â
Annika Carlson makes her second NCAA Championship appearance of the 2023-24 season. The Second Team All-American in cross country travels to Myrtle Beach to compete in the steeplechase. She ranks 16th in Division III.Â
Zoe Zurasky will travel with the team as an alternate.
