CLARMONT, Calif. – In her Panther debut, Lily Kresser led the Chapman University women's tennis team at the ITA Division III Fall West Regional. Kresser made the semifinals of her bracket.

Kresser competed in Flight 2 with the majority of the Panthers singles lineup. After an opening 6-1. 6-1 win, Kresser went on to win the next two matches in straight sets to advance to the semifinals of her bracket. She took on No. 3 seed Hannah Ramsperger in the semis and pushed her into a super tiebreaker third set. Kresser eventually fell 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-3).

Chloe Candelina, Racquel Fhima and Brooke Waite all won their first round matches in Flight 2 but fell in the second round.

In her Chapman debut, Sydney La competed in the top flight but dropped into the consolation bracket when she opened the tournament with a loss. She won her consolation bracket match 6-2, 1-6 1-0 (10-8) but did not have a chance in the semifinals when matches were cancelled dur to the rain over the weekend.

Kresser and La also advanced to the semifinals of the Flight 1 consolation doubles bracket as well before Saturday's rain caused the tournament to remain unfinished.

The Panthers wrapped up their fall competition schedule and will return to the court in February for the dual season.
